Rather than drawing by hand, they can easily create a full room with colour, shadows and lots of detail on the computer, without the need to be a skilled artist.

The Chief Architect Home Design Software reverses the need for interior designers. This program came out to make the job of an interior designer easier, but now this program is becoming accessible to the public, giving non-interior designers the chance to design their homes themselves. The more of this software they sell, the less interior designers will be needed. Now anybody can design a room easily with the click of a button! Without and talent, skill or design technology, people can easily design the house of their dreams. Although this is an advantage for the public, it is a negative for interior designers. This results in the less demand for designers.
